A Beauty so Raw it is Startling

It saddens me to think of just how many of us are walking around hiding our struggles, our fears, our pain, afraid to show the truth behind our carefully constructed smiles.  If you pause for a moment though and look beyond your expectations, you will start to see that a person’s soul is always there, waiting, reaching out, wanting to be heard.

That is what I look for now when I talk to people.  I hear their words, but I listen to their soul.  When you look past someone’s appearance, their clothes, and beyond the self they want the world to see, you will see a beauty so raw it is startling.  In doing so, you must also be ready to be seen yourself, and that is as scary as it is magical.
